Momo Recipe

Momo is one of the most loved dishes in Nepal. These soft, juicy steamed dumplings are filled with flavorful minced meat or vegetables and served with a spicy tomato-based dipping sauce. Perfect as a snack or a full meal, momo brings warmth and comfort in every bite.

Ingredients

For the Momo Dough

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • Water (as needed)

For the Filling (Chicken / Buff / Veg)

  • 250 g minced chicken/buff or finely chopped vegetables
  • 1 medium onion (finely chopped)
  • 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 2 tablespoons chopped coriander leaves
  • 2 tablespoons chopped spring onions
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon turmeric (optional)
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tablespoons cooking oil or sesame oil
